Rachel Bigsby’s photography workshops are rooted in artistry, storytelling and immersive field experiences. They offer the opportunity to photograph seabirds, wildlife and remote marine environments shaped by her philosophy: wildlife photography is at its most powerful when it moves beyond documentation and becomes a means of connection to subject and to the emotion of the moment itself.
From intimate masterclasses to transformative expeditions, each experience is shaped by Rachel’s distinctive approach to wildlife photography; one guided not only by technical precision but by observation, feeling and the pursuit of natural artistry. Participants are encouraged to work creatively and leave with imagery that feels personal, expressive and connected to the natural world.
Working across some of the world’s most remote marine environments including Antarctica, the Arctic, the Falkland Islands, Shetland, Arctic Norway and the subantarctic islands of Australia and New Zealand, Rachel brings a depth of field experience few workshop leaders can offer. An IAATO-certified expedition guide, licensed powerboat operator, and qualified first aider, she leads with professionalism, care and deep respect for the environments she works within. Rachel’s work has been recognised internationally through awards including Wildlife Photographer of the Year (Natural Artistry) and Bird Photographer of the Year (Portfolio). A Nikon Creator, RSPB Ambassador, contributing photographer to National Geographic and experienced public speaker, she has lectured at institutions including the Royal Geographical Society and the Natural History Museum, alongside expedition vessels operating in some of the most remote regions on Earth.
