Wildlife Photography Expeditions

Join multi-award winning wildlife photographer, Rachel Bigsby, on an unforgettable journey through some of the world’s most breathtaking locations from the Arctic to the Antarctic, the Sub-Antarctic islands of New Zealand and the beautiful seabird colonies of the British Isles. Specialising in luxury photography workshops across the polar regions and beyond, Rachel offers not only her photographic expertise but also a deep understanding of guiding in some of the world’s most remote environments.

What sets her apart is her rare ability to combine her experience as a leading wildlife photographer with her hands-on role as an IAATO-certified expedition guide, licensed powerboat operator and advanced first aid professional. While on location with Rachel, you can look forward to an enriching experience designed to advance and refine your photography skills with personalised instruction tailored to individual needs, covering essential topics such as composition, lighting, and the use of natural elements to enhance images. Most importantly, Rachel shares her creative photographic process and techniques, including her trade mark 'high key' style, her approach to natural artistry and effective wildlife behaviour observation. Through hands-on exercises and guided practice in diverse environments, attendees will gain practical experience while receiving valuable feedback to help elevate their craft. Rachel’s supportive approach fosters a collaborative atmosphere where photographers can share insights and learn from each other, ensuring that everyone leaves with newfound confidence and a portfolio full of breathtaking images.

Rachel made us feel very comfortable throughout the workshop and her energy, enthusiasm and knowledge really made it a great experience. I will definitely be booking your workshops again in the near future as we have so many questions! Thanks a million for a fantastic experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m looking forward to the next one !
