Rachel Bigsby's wildlife photography programmes are rooted in artistry and immersive field experiences, offering photographers the opportunity to learn and create in the most remote marine and polar environments.

From intimate masterclasses to expedition voyages in the world's most untouched locations, every photography programme reflects Rachel's distinctive approach; one shaped not only by technical excellence, but by observation, patience, intuition and the pursuit of natural artistry.

Having worked extensively throughout Antarctica, the Arctic, the Falkland Islands, Shetland, Arctic Norway and the Subantarctic islands of Australia and New Zealand, Rachel offers a level of specialist field experience few wildlife photography educators can match. As an AECO and IAATO-certified expedition guide, licensed powerboat operator and qualified emergency first aider, participants can be confident they are learning in experienced, capable and highly qualified hands. Rachel's calm, encouraging teaching style creates an environment in which photographers of all abilities feel supported to grow creatively while working safely and responsibly in challenging environments.

Rachel's work has earned international recognition through awards including Wildlife Photographer of the Year (Natural Artistry) and Bird Photographer of the Year (Portfolio). A Nikon Europe Creator, RSPB Ambassador, National Geographic contributor and experienced public speaker, she has taught and lectured at institutions including the Royal Geographical Society, the Natural History Museum and aboard the very best expedition vessels operating throughout the most remote regions on Earth.

Alongside her scheduled photography programmes, Rachel also undertakes a limited number of private expeditions and confidential commissions each year. Whether seeking a tailored photographic experience, a private expedition or creative consultancy for a specialist project, enquiries are warmly welcomed via email: rachel@rachelbigsby.com

TESTIMONIALS

"The workshop more than exceeded expectations, offering a blend of expert instruction and hands-on experience. Rachel is an excellent teacher, generously sharing her technical expertise, providing insightful tips and personalised feedback that has significantly improved my photography. The location was perfect, allowing many opportunities for stunning shots of a wide variety of seabirds. The course was well organised, a good balance of 1:2:1 and overall very rewarding. I would highly recommend to anyone!"
