Workshop Information:
Join award-winning wildlife photographer, Rachel Bigsby and Nikon School for an immersive 3-day seabird photography workshop.
Home to towering chalk cliffs, dramatic seascapes and one of the UK’s most spectacular seabird colonies, this workshop offers the opportunity to experience the joy of seabird photography both from land and sea. From the exhilarating sight and sound of Northern Gannets diving into the ocean, to the characterful lives of Puffins, Razorbills, Guillemots and Fulmars along the cliff tops. This multi-day workshop is about understanding your subjects, observing behaviour and learning how to create images with greater meaning. Throughout the experience, Rachel and Nikon School will be on hand to provide guidance tailored to your individual photography goals covering everything from camera setup, autofocus modes and exposure techniques, to more creative approaches such as working with natural light, finding unique compositions and capturing the character of wildlife. From dramatic action photography at sea to quieter moments watching seabirds return to their nests, you’ll learn how to adapt your approach to different situations and make the most of every encounter. This workshop is suitable for anyone with a passion for wildlife photography, from enthusiastic beginners looking to build confidence to more experienced photographers hoping to develop their creative approach. A basic understanding of your camera is helpful, but the most important thing to bring is curiosity, patience and a love for the natural world.
