Rachel’s photograph, The Art of Courtship, (2023 WPY Winner of 'Natural Artistry') , is one of just ten images selected to be exhibited at Number 10 in celebration of 60 years of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, a global showcase for the best in nature photography. In a statement, Rachel expressed her deep appreciation for the opportunity:

"I owe a heartfelt thank you to the Natural History Museum, London, for their unwavering support. Wildlife Photographer of the Year has been nothing short of transformative—opening doors I could have only dreamt of, giving me the credibility to pursue new opportunities"

The Art of Courtship, which won the prestigious Natural Artistry category in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, draws the viewer into the intricate and often unseen rituals of the natural world, offering a glimpse into the nuances of wildlife courtship behaviour. The image, which captures a tender and intimate moment between two Northern Gannets, continues to captivate global audiences with its delicate balance of beauty and behaviour, and showcases Rachel’s unparalleled ability to merge artistic expression with scientific observation.

This latest honor at 10 Downing Street follows a series of high-profile exhibitions of Rachel’s work. Her photography has previously been displayed at the Natural History Museum in London, the Royal Geographic Society, the National Museum of Scotland, the pages of National Geographic and various museums, galleries, and exhibition centres around the world as part of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 59 tour.

With her work now gracing the walls of some of the most prestigious institutions in the UK and beyond, Rachel Bigsby is cementing her place as one of the leading voices in wildlife photography.
