Standing in the deep snow of Antarctica, I spent what felt like an eternal number of minutes with this beautiful bird, photographing its almost perfect symmetry as it slept. Named after the black band of feathers under their chin, Chinstrap Penguins are a species I had longed to photograph for their bold lines and monochrome plumage that offers countless creative opportunities..
