Behind The Lens:
From within the shadowed cracks and crevices of this boulder field in Scotland, the guttural honks and cries of Shags seeped out. These birds are powerfully alluring, seductive, satanic even. Those unaware of their presence could be easily fooled into believing that the eerie sounds were of ghouls or goblins, living within the darkness, much like how the cries of the Manx Shearwater were once mistaken for the cackles of witches.But, beneath some boulders, these half-pterosaur, half-birds could be found by the dazzling iridescence of their scale like, dark green plumage when lit by the harsh summer sun.
